We are a unique British brand. Designing, making, selling luxury and trend-led greeting cards, stationery & giftware. In the pursuit of connecting people, spreading JOY, sharing LOVE and making everyone’s world a little BRIGHTER with a smile!

Our ambition for over 25 years is to design elegant and beautiful greeting card ranges. It started off as an idea on a drawing board by our founder Rachel Hare, nestled in her Manchester studio. Rachel’s distinctive approach to design with hand drawn illustrations, graphics, a delicate and bold use of finish, combined with creative, relatable words and captions, all go to amplify the tactile nature of the greeting card, and has led to Belly Button Designs winning many an accolade, including the industry’s most prestigious Henries award.

We put a heart into our ART with paper and finishes that don’t harm the earth. Printing on FSC© certified paper and board, from sustainably managed forests, post consumer waste including giving coffee cups a second life to create the new. All our greeting cards are plastic free, we’ve designed sustainable packaging solutions and all our gift bags will be recyclable by 2023. Creating great partnerships and products, preserving our planet, our people and our brand for the next generation. That is at the heart of our art.

It’s easy to shop our cards, stationery & giftware online and across UK highstreets. From John Lewis, Selfridges, Harrods, to dozens of exclusive independent card and gift shops. To our very own beautiful card & gift boutiques in West Didsbury and Heaton Moor, the leafy suburbs of Manchester, that offer our special personalised card service. We also export to the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and across Europe.
